Personal Background

I grew up a military brat and lived all over the world. I got scuba certified at 13 and had the wonderful experience of diving the coral reefs in Okinawa, Japan. After high school, I struggled with lifestyle choices, failed out of college and began the journey of a 9 year Bachelors. I played HS and collegiate sports where I struggled with disordered eating and body image. I struggled to get a job in fitness out of college as I weighed 300lbs. Eventually, I got a great job and began my journey into wellness both professionally and personally. Lifting heavy and getting stronger has been a huge part of my healing journey. No matter what the obstacles I encountered, strength training help to root me and provide an outlet to work through things. Adding the nature element has been just as transformative. Another interest of mine is Men’s work and masculine archetypes. Helping people reconnect with their bodies and nature so they can realize their true strength is my purpose. I am grateful and fortunate that I get to live my purpose daily.

I am the proud father of two amazing boys and the happy husband to my wife. We enjoy maximizing as much time as possible outside. We stack as much community into everything we do from camping trips to brunches. Fun fact about us is we live a mostly floor based life. This means the majority of our furniture is low or on the ground. We eat at a floor table and we sleep on traditional Japanese shikibutons and tatami mats.
